Weekly Update// Pastor Will

Hello friends,

We trust you're enjoying the new sermon series, "A Community That Thrives," exploring how we contribute to our church's growth and wellbeing. This week, we're adjusting the schedule to discuss service, aligning with All Saints Sunday to honor those who've paved the way and gone to glory. I know this is particularly meaningful to those who have lost loved ones, especially for those who have passed more recently. I remember the first All Saints Sunday after my father had passed. I didn’t expect the rush of emotions to come over me when his name was spoken. It was a very complex feeling to fully describe but I do remember it being a mix of grief but also of great joy. Join us for a special celebration in both services.

We’ll also celebrate Holy Communion since it is the first Sunday of the month. Sunday holds particular significance for me as we delve into the sacraments with the confirmation students and then participate in communion at the Traditional Service.

Last Friday our Fall Festival was a huge success. We certainly want to give thanks to Laura Molloy and her team and also all those who contributed to its success. This Saturday at 9:30 am, let's come together for a church workday to spruce up our campus as we head into Advent. The United Methodist Men will meet for breakfast beforehand at 7:30 am and also provide lunch afterward. Next Sunday, November 12th, we'll honor our Veterans in our services, so if you served, wear your uniform proudly so we can celebrate you!

We wish you a wonderful weekend, and we hope to see you on Saturday or Sunday, or both!

God Bless,

Will
