Weekly Update // Pastor Chris
Dear Asbury Family,
I know this is a busy time of year, but I wanted to take a moment to highlight a few important ways we can reflect God’s generosity together.
This Sunday marks March to the Manger, a beloved Asbury tradition where we bring a gift to the altar in celebration of the newborn King. This year, our offering will support Central Florida Wesley, a United Methodist campus ministry serving college students in the Orlando area. Amanda and I are excited to see how our gift, along with the contributions of others in our church, will help support this transformative ministry.
Additionally, it's not too late to make your 2024 contribution to Asbury. As we approach the end of the year, we are facing a deficit, and we hope to close this gap as much as possible. Please remember that contributions are tax-deductible but must be received by the end of the year to be included in your 2024 return.
While we have received a number of Commitment Cards, we hope to receive more in the coming weeks. These cards help us plan for the future and set our budget for 2025. I understand that some who give may choose not to fill out a card for various reasons, but please recognize that just as families and individuals plan their budgets based on expected income, our church must do the same. God calls us to trust him, but he also calls us to commit our resources to him without wavering. These cards are a tangible way for us to reflect our commitment to Christ and to the church.
Thank you for your continued generosity and support! I look forward to seeing you this Sunday as we gather to worship, celebrate the season, and honor our Savior.
Blessings,
Chris
